I’m A Ghost, released May 20, 2025, is the second release in Ray’s explorations with Americana and aging. The song incorporates inflections of soul, garage and easy listening with vocal stylings in the vein of Linda Ronstadt and Karen Carpenter. Lyrically it deals with friendship fallouts in adulthood as experienced by many during the pandemic. Although the act of ghosting is seen negatively by most, it is heard here as an act or lack of acting to bring peace of mind.
